Cally Gardens near Gatehouse is a must for plant lovers in any season, a wonderful treasure trove of exotic and rare plants collected over the past 25 years by Michael Wickenden. The National Trust gardens at Broughton House and Threave are also well worth visiting. |

Young families will love Cream O' Galloway Visitor Centre, with its indoor and outdoor adventure playgrounds, flying fox, bike tracks and karting and of course the delicious ice cream. Also worth visiting are Cardoness Castle, the Gem Rock Museum and Mill on the Fleet. |
