Luxury hideaway cottage with sauna and hot tub - sleeps 2+1
A wonderful, romantic, luxury hideaway cottage set in private woodland in the most stunning position with views of Loch Nevis on the Knoydart Peninsula, available from March 2014 and already booking up fast - don't delay if you wish to be one of the first to stay here!
Knoydart is one of Scotland's last great wilderness areas, hidden away from the rest of the mainland but accessible by boat from Mallaig - a short and scenic crossing of Loch Nevis by Seabridge water taxi or Western Isles ferry. It really is the perfect location for a quiet, romantic break away from it all.
This stunning new luxury accommodation has been designed to make the most of its elevated, south facing and very private position on the shores of Loch Nevis and to blend into the natural woodland surroundings, with tall, wraparound windows, larch cladding which will age to a subtle grey while the copper roof will gradually gain a beautiful, green patina.
Everything you could possibly need to enjoy a luxury break in lovely surroundings is here. Italian stone tiles are warm underfoot, while the stylish Rais stove provides a focal point and an extra glow. Spacious, beautifully decorated rooms are elegantly furnished with a blend of new and antique furniture and with great attention to even the smallest details such as the rounded plasterwork and stunning half tester king size canopy bed.
The exceptionally well kitted out kitchen has all the best gadgets and cookware - breadmaker, coffee machine, oyster crackers - while the dining area and floodlit decking allow meals to be eaten while enjoying glorious sunsets over the loch before cosying up in front of the flickering of flames in the stove.
Wake up to the same fantastic view from the generously sized bedroom where the king size half tester bed is made up with crisp, white linen; from here it's just a step into a bathroom to die for. In here is a large contemporary freestanding bath and monsoon shower big enough for two as well as a state of the art infrared sauna.
If you like to keep fit but don't feel like leaving the comfort of your luxury holiday home, there is a professional running machine in the living room with 360 degree views from your gorgeous hideaway. A stint on here might earn you the reward of a more relaxing hot tub experience out on the decking...
Although this luxury retreat has been designed with romantic breaks for couples in mind, there is flexibilty which allows friends or family to come too. The king sized bed can be made up as twins and there is also an antique trundle bed suitable for one adult or two children, as well as a travel cot available. For larger groups, nearby Loch Nevis Lodge sleeps a further ten people. |
