The design of the house incorporates solatubes which ensure that it is bright and sunny, not dark as a cave, the name by which some people call the house.
Living Area
The living area is spacious and airy with an under floor heating system throughout the house which ensures efficient comfort and warmth.
A stylish plasma fire is an attractive focal point of the living area which lends a cosy rather intimate feeling to an evening.
A Bose Ipod Docking Station, plasma T.V, DVD/Video Player are all available for your entertainment and there is free BT Broadband for use during your stay.
Jo Malone's innovative Scent Surround Cube subtly and continuously scents the house which is a brilliant way to fragrance the hideaway.

The archaeology of Uist is extensive and well worth investigating. The most recent find of round houses with ‘mummies’ is close to the graveyard at Cladh Hallan,Daliburgh and is signposted. Well worth a visit is the award winning Taigh Chearsabhagh museum in Lochmaddy in North Uist. |

The eastern side of the island is rocky, with a rugged chain of hills which are populated with deer, golden eagles and sheep. These are perfect for climbing on a clear day with stunning views right across the island and over the Minch to the Inner Hebrides, while the west coast offers lovely beaches for more gentle walking. |

If you wish to leave the kitchen sink behind, dine out in the nearby Pollachar Inn which starred in the original Whisky Galore film or watch the glorious sunsets off the west of Eriskay in the conservatory of the Politician Bar and restaurant. |
