Talisker single malt scotch whiskies are characterised by a powerful and peppery taste that has more than a hint of the sea and is moderately peaty. It is with good reason that it has been referred to as "the lava of the Cuillins". It is consistently regarded by experts as one of the very best single malt whiskies available. |

Great dining is an essential part of the Skye experience. The restaurants are too numerous to mention, but Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant is a must, and Three Chimneys for a very special occasion. Portree offers a number of good, informal, spots. |
