Located just outside Dumfries this accommodation offers chic, contemporary style set close to Scotlands outdoor sculpture park of Glenkiln with scupltures by Rodin and Moore.

Old School 4 bedrooms, all doubles and king size, one can be split to twin beds. 2 bathrooms 2 living rooms, one large room with wood burning stove, the other a smaller sun room Large kitchen/diner with lots of space and Aga Courtyard garden - and larger garden and grounds around both the Shool and Shoolhouse. All costs like linen, heating, lighting, towels, cots, high chairs are supplied and are are included in the price. Changeover days are mainly Friday but are variable - enquire for the dates you require |

Threave Gardens is the closest garden which is one of Scotlands most interesting as it is a training college for our future gardeners as well as a showground of interesting flora. There are over 30 other gardens and nurseries in Dumfries and Galloway including Glenwhan and Port Logan. |

The School is set in the Dumfries countryside, it is surrounded by country walks one particular walk takes you across the hill at the back to Glenkiln outdoor sculpture park where you can find Henry Moore, and Epstein sculptures in a natural setting. |

Great fishing close by up the Nith Valley, good fishing for Sea Salmon, Trout and Grayling, day passes are easy to get locally. |

Kirkcudbright is known as Scotlands Art Town a small fishing town was a favourite retreat for the "Glasgow Boys" including Hornel, Peploe and many other of Scotlands finest painters. This region plays host to the "Spring Fling" when over 100 artists open their studios to the public. |

The 7 Stanes are Scotland's great mountain bike routes. The School is close to 5 of them so offers the perfect loocation if you want to do some of the most exciting biking in Europe. The byeways are also ideal for easy family cycling so do bring your bikes with you. |
